Everytime I say the word "college" my mother cringes. She gets all tense and changes the subject. I dont know whether its because i'm leaving in a couple of months or she has no idea where this money is going to come from. Although she can't bare the thought of me leaving she has said that she will support me in any decison I make. I think she's worried that when I leave they will  be living in my brothers mess, because he obvisouly doesn't know how to clean up after himself.  My Father on the other hand, is a completely different story. I think he just wants me out of the house. When I try to talk to him about college, he doesnt listen. He just zones out when i'm talking and I don't understand why. I  mean this is a HUGE deal he can't ignore me forever!  I guess it doesn't matter. One parent on your side is always better than none. I feel bad for my little brother. I know he's not the easiest guy to get a long with and have agree with your opinions, but I love him and I don't want to leave him behind. He can be  rude sometimes and we all know that school is his kryptonite, and my parents have very little tolerance for that. The next three and a half years will be hell on all of them!

Ugggghhh! Don't even get me started on finance. All I have heard for the past 9 months is my mother nagging me to get a job and save my money. She sounds like a broken record. (I love you, mummy lol)
Then when taxes roll around, apparently I made too much money and she has to pay the government. Lovely. Any how, on the FASFA side, I finished everything online at the first cash for college night. My mom just wanted to finish her taxes before she submitted any thing, and make sure all the numbers we plugged in were correct.

3. What are 2 things you are looking forward to in the next month?
I GET MY BRACES OFF!!! I can't tell you how excited I am. In exactly 12 days from now, I will be completely denerdified. (lol) No more glasses and no more braces for me. I have been looking forward to that day for the past 5 years.... I am also looking forward to learning more about the brain in my physiology class. I LOVE that class so much! I can't wait to learn about the rest of the body.

4. Where are you in the college process right now? (waiting, heard back from___, still need to ___, etc.)
I only applied to two CSU's. I only wanted to pay for two because, I honeslty did not think I was going to end up going to a university, my G.P.A was very low. So I can't tell you how suprised I was to know thaw I got Accepted to both Humboldt State University, and San Franscisco State University. As of now, I have decided to attend SF State in the fall.

1.  What are you stressed about right now?  Why is it stressing you out?
I am so beyond stressed right now, that it doesn't even looked like i'm stressed. I'm worried about my next move. There is just so much to do and I don't know where to start. Everything has to get done and needs 100% of my attention. College letters, senior thesis, physio quizzes, AP Econ homework, AP Econ Test, family drama, friend Drama, and not to mention the numerous doctors visits in the past couple of weeks. I feel so overwhelmed!
2.  What steps are you taking to alleviate your stress?  What more could you do to manage your stress?
Naps. Naps, solve almost of my problems. When I go home and sleep for a little bit I tend to wake up in a better mood. I have time to sleep all the worries and stress off of the day, and wake up with the desire to start tackling that long to-do list that i've been putting off for hours. Also, if I don't go home right away. If i go home my parents bark orders at me and i'm surrounded by too many distraction, which leads to procrastination and that causes nothing but unwanted stress.
